New York based Australian photographer James Houston is recognized as one of the world's leading beauty and body photographers. In October 2006 Houston launched the MOVE FOR AIDS project in New York, Sydney, and London. The project consisted of a photographic book (titled MOVE) and exhibition of leading New York dancers shot by Houston. Through the launches, exhibitions, and book sales, the project raised close to US$500,000 for various HIV/AIDS charities. The success of the project, backed by high profile entertainers such as Elton John and Hugh Jackman, inspired Houston to continue bringing awareness to sexual health issues.
