Atelier Māla = Cultivating the ʻOno

Atelier — In French, atelier means a workshop or studio.

Māla — In Hawaiian, māla refers to a garden, plantation, or cultivated field.

ʻOno — In Hawaiian, ʻono (oh-noh) means delicious, tasty, or savory. While often used to describe food, it can also mean to savor, crave, or deeply relish something.

This portfolio reflects the many facets of our family farm—the friends who help us care for the land and the creative life that grows and flourishes from it.

"The answer is in the land; everything you need to bring out the culture of this place is right around you. Listen, feel, look: It's right here." - Aunty Lily Ha'anio Kong
